Job Summary

To ensure HML attains and retains all required Quality standards and accreditations. To ensure HML meets all legal, ethical and best practice standards within occupational health by the development of protocols, policies and procedures, working closely with clinical and operational colleagues.

Essential Job Duties

Lead for both external and internal quality accreditation standards within HML.
Managing, liaising and coordinating the relationship with the external auditing bodies to ensure HML achieves and maintains the certifications while being ahead of the curve in terms of continual improvement to ensure customer satisfaction
Undertaking internal audits, training and co-ordinating an auditing team to support the audit function
Developing protocols to meet clinical, ethical, legal and ‘best practice’ accredited standards for all operational and clinical aspects of the services delivered to our customers, working closely with clinical and operational colleagues
Communicate standards succinctly and appropriately to all stakeholders, developing manuals and reference points. Assist managers and senior colleagues with training new standards into teams
Develop appropriate documents and templates, with clinical and operational input, to fulfil these protocols which ensure all stakeholders can work effectively
Managing the master document register, keeping all documentation up to date, controlled and accessible to all colleagues including company wide policies.
Identify areas for improvement following internal and external audits, by reviewing processes, protocols and documents as required. Initiate, liaise and project manage changes to ensure customer satisfaction, quality standards and greater effectiveness of all teams
Managing training programmes and refresher workshops for all colleagues in ISO9001 and SEQOHS.
Involvement in the MAXIMUS Quality Council
Point of Contact for MAXIMUS QRM team for HML
Participation in the MAXIMUS Quality Forum including any presentations as required
Co-ordination and liaison with QRM for the annual surveys, PSA and Privacy surveys and compliance training when rolled out to MAXIMUS worldwide
Authorise and sign off any quality and governance requirements within tenders and new client’s contractual commitments.
Undertake quality based surveys for all tenders or existing clients as required

Education and Experience Requirements

Experience of working in a quality related role, leading on accreditations and standards
Ability to prioritise tasks effectively, balancing the commercial requirements of the business with the clinical ethics and guidelines
Ability to distil complex requirements into simple protocols
Ability to communicate effectively with peers, senior management and the team as a whole to introduce change and training
Accuracy and an eye for detail essential
PC literate
Project management experience helpful
Understanding of the Occupational health or healthcare sector an advantage but not essential
