    Job Summary

    The Business Development Officer, Health is responsible for;

    Working with the Head of Proposal Operations on all HML’s Business Development data recording, capturing, management and reporting

    Working with the Health Sales Leads to respond to opportunities in retaining, growing and securing new business 

    Essential Job Duties

    Data Management and Reporting

    Capture business development data from across the business ensuring records are up to date.

    Prepare and issue a range of management standard and ad hoc information reports and presentation slides as requested.

    Participate in weekly and monthly Business Development calls

    Develop relationships and work closely with Sales, Finance, Proposal Centre and Customer Account teams to obtain and report accurate information  

     

    Sales and Bidding Support

    Working with Sales Leads to register and progress shortlisted opportunities to a successful conclusion

    Work with the Proposal Centre Team to progress opportunities from concept through to contract award

    Participate in weekly BD calls capturing progress and status of opportunities and reflecting in pipeline reporting

    Participate in external and internal conferences, seminars and webinars as appropriate

    Assist in the creation and production of client facing materials and communications

    Support in the co-ordination of attendance at industry events

    Education and Experience Requirements

    Desirable experience in a Business Development environment

    Excellent organisational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

    Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment

    Ability to successfully execute many tasks simultaneously

    Ability to work as team member as well as independently

    Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access and Outlook

    Experience of Data Analysis

    Good numerical and analytical skills

    Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

    Able to produce reports in Microsoft Word and Powerpoint

    Good time keeping skills

    Good communication skills

    Desirable knowledge of VBA and SQL
