    Job Summary

    To deliver a high quality and consistent functional advice to clients concerning fitness for work delivered in accordance with professional standards and best practice.  To deliver effective, work focused advice in the form of a Return to Work Plan, facilitating a return to work.

    Essential Job Duties

    • Working as part of a multi skilled clinical team to prove Case Management of short, medium and long term absence cases, (telephone) including return to work rehabilitation programmes and support
    • To provide advice and recommendations to the client on the type of support required , and any interventions or adjustments recommended  in order to facilitate a  sustained  return to work
    • Consider the Bio psychosocial model l during the consultation and in the advice to the client
    • Triaging cases to the OH Physician or clinical team as appropriate
    • Producing reports and recommendations in line with HML procedures if requested
    • To commission further medical evidence from employee’s GPs or Specialists and/or Network Physicians where appropriate.
    • Effective provision of OH medical services to the organisation
    • Liaison with the client contact on a regular basis to ensure standards and requirements are met.

    Education and Experience Requirements

    • Healthcare professional qualification with an interest in Occupational Health and rehabilitation.
    • Current Professional Body Registration with the NMC or HCPC as a Occupational Therapist
    • Broad experience across healthcare delivery and clinical practice including clinical assessment and history taking
    • Experience in case management face to face and telephone assessments
    • IT Literate and ability to use variety of IT packages and work online
